“We ALL Have Questions”
by SarahPraiseGiven
If you have a question
That perplexes all your mind….
You tried to ask in prayer,
But still feel in a bind.
Perhaps your faith is hinged on it,
Teetering back and forth;
Or maybe the pain of not knowing
Threatens your whole self-worth.
Maybe your trust in God
Is shaken at its core.
Yet hold to your faith!
That’s what faith is for.
This is your victory:
To hold that question tight;
And stand for all the years,
Righteous in His sight.
Believe that there’s an answer
That supports His holy Word,
Reinforces all its meaning,
Even the sermons that you heard.
Live as if you know:
The answer’s in your reach,
Your worth is without question,
You’re still qualified to teach.
Go and preach the Gospel,
Never looking back.
Stand like Job the hero,
Amidst scorn and lack!
If you have perseverance,
Then someday you may sit
At the feet of Jesus,
Face shining with eyes lit.
You can ask any question
As a tear rolls down your cheek.
He will give the answer;
No more do you need seek.
And when you see His wisdom,
His design, and kind intent;
You’ll love Him more forever,
Just the way He meant.

There is no end to love that can be given.
Our hearts were made this way.
As prayers go out, we sense that there is need in the world.
We fill those needs as the Great Teacher has shown us how.
For life is a great test…
What will we do?
How will we live?
We know there is a priceless reward in winning the race.
We know we will see Jesus,
And hand-in-hand, we will see eternity.
“For eye hath not seen,
For ear hath not heard,
Those things which the Lord hath prepared for us.”
Mistakes In Our Being? July 25th, 2023
Some make mistakes…
Others have mistakes
In the fabric of their being…
Why?
Did God plant error there
To test our mercy?
Did His loving hand slip,
to teach us something new?
His makings seem strange,
That Potter.
We have no rank to ask Him why,
But are left with a test.
Will we love our brother,
our sister, father, mother
ANYWAY???????
Was the man born blind
Because of his fault?
His parents’ fault?
Surely all suffer.
But no.
It was for God’s glory,
For Christ shall come,
Heal,
And make all ripples flat,
All eyes new,
Even yet, my own eyes new,
As I read about You.
Invitational Prayer for Inner Healing:
From: http://ransomedheart.com/sites/default/files/fileuploads/prayer_for_inner_healing_4-5-14.pdf
“Jesus, I come into your presence now, and I ask you to surround me. I come under your authority and your claim upon my life. I give myself to you—body, soul, and spirit. I give my heart to you, in every way—including the broken places in me. I declare your authority over my heart, for you made my heart and you have redeemed my heart.
Jesus, I invite you into this broken place within me (this wound, this memory). I give you total access to my heart. Come, Lord, shine your light here. Reveal to me all that is going on here. What is this about, Jesus? Come and show me, meet me here, in this place.”
Prayer for Inner Healing from Pastor Thomas www.thejosephplan.org
Dear Lord Jesus, please come and heal my wounded and troubled heart. I beg you to heal the torments that are causing anxiety in my life. I beg you, in a particular way, to heal the underlying source of my sinfulness. I beg you to come into my life and heal the psychological harms that struck me in my childhood and from the injuries they have caused throughout my life.
Lord Jesus, you know my burdens. I lay them on your Good Shepherd’s Heart. I beseech you—by the merits of the great open wound in your heart—to heal the small wounds that are in mine. Heal my memories, so that nothing that has happened to me will cause me to remain in pain and anguish, filled with anxiety.
Heal, O Lord, all those wounds that have been the cause of evil that is rooted in my life. I want to forgive all those who have offended me. Look to those inner sores that make me unable to forgive. You who came to forgive the afflicted of heart, please, heal my wounded and troubled heart.
Heal, O Lord Jesus, all those intimate wounds that are the root cause of my physical illness. I offer you my heart. Accept it, Lord, purify it and give me the sentiments of your Divine Heart.
Poem For Susan 1/10/23
I choose to see
A forgiven me
Through the eyes of God.
I choose to bathe
In the image God gave
To me, His plan
He gave to man.
Why?
Because He loves me.
I’m beloved, you see.
I was made with great care:
My talents, my heart, my hair….
Everything was planned;
Everything was good
All was marred
By life, by sin jarred
Out of its lovely state.
I am, I feel, changed
By my mistakes, estranged.
I have missed the mark.
I sit in the dark
Pondering the love that made me.
Am I still kin?
Despite my sin?
Jesus was sent to die
To save ME-WHY?
To redeem the loss
He forgave,
Chose to save,
To restore ME,
To see me with new eyes….
To bring a kingdom
To realize me back again
To reward me
For boldness,
As I trudge forward marred.
In that great HOPE, though jarred.
Though I may feel like
I am damaged goods,
My kinship is there.
He chooses to care……
And be it possible,
He will turn common water
Into luscious wine.
